The DNR is working on changes to water pollution rules, and they could cost well-users, farmers, and wastewater treatment plants millions of dollars.
The agency wants to restrict manure in areas that are prone to pollution, and put limits on PFAS in drinking and surface water. The Natural Resources Board might also consider new groundwater quality standards to include more substances.
Members are expected to schedule hearings at their meeting on Wednesday.
