Erykah Badu is set to release a new fragrance that smells like her lady parts. In an interview with 10 Magazine, the legendary singer announced that the scent will be called “Badu's P*ssy” and it's an “olfactory tribute to what Badu calls her ‘superpower.'”
Badu said, “There’s an urban legend that my p*ssy changes men. The men that I fall in love with, and fall in love with me, change jobs and lives.”
Badu explained the process of making the fragrance, saying, “I took lots of pairs of my panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them. Even the ash is part of it.”
Badu said that she stopped wearing underwear a while back, so she didn't mind burning them. She explained, “The people deserve it!”
Fans will be able to purchase the scent online via her Badu World Market, which will open on February 20th.
During the interview, Badu also addressed her controversial comments back in 2018 about Bill Cosby and Adolf Hitler. She said, “People formed the ‘offendocracy.' People are entitled to their opinions, but I think that group lynchings are ridiculous.”
