People in Bear Creek should boil their water.
The village is making that recommendation, after a water main broke this morning. That caused a loss of pressure in the water system, and created a risk of contamination of the drinking water.
The village is urging people to heat their water to a rolling boil for at least one minute, or use bottled water.
The DNR will be testing samples, and the advisory will be in place until they’re clean for two straight days.
