Calumet County will be adding a second judge next year.
The director of state courts is picking the county, and three others, to get another court branch.
Governor Evers signed a law last week to add 12 judges over a three-year period. Calumet County has had a second, empty courtroom for 30 years.
Candidates will be able to run for judge in the spring of 2021. The new branch will open in August of next year.
Dunn, Jackson, and Marathon counties will also get an additional judge.
