A Manhattan federal court judge wants Tekashi 6ix9ine released from jail due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to Page Six, in a letter Wednesday (April 1st), Judge Paul Engelmayer said that he wants Tekashi to be released from prison because the rapper has asthma and that puts him at greater risk to die if he contracted the coronavirus.
He wrote, “The parties are advised that, provided that the Court has legal authority to grant the relief requested by defense counsel, the Court intends to do so.” Engelmayer ordered the government to respond by 5pm Wednesday (April 1st).
In response, US Attorney Geoffrey Berman wrote that he does not object to the rapper’s release to home confinement.
50 CENT REACTS TO TEKASHI POSSIBLY GETTING OUT OF JAIL
50 Cent took to Instagram to react to the news. He wrote, “👀😆Now associate1 ya gonna have to tell everybody how you were on tape in court on the phone coaching Mel. to super duper violate shorty but the Feds never picked you up because you are doing your job Confidential informant.”
Although 50 didn't name any names, “individual1” is a reference to Jim Jones. Back in 2018, TMZ released a transcript of a conversation between 6ix9ine's former manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, Mel Murda and an unidentified person who many believe is Jones.
Jones responded to 50 on Instagram, writing, “Melly said he doin super fine You have to watch out for these so call real ones thts routing for rats to come home and And wanna see real n***as go to jail. Any n***a th needs to try n tarnish another mans name for personal gain has to b a h*e why else would he have my d*ck so far down his throat lol 😂 pause.”
