The percentage of new positive coronavirus tests is down for the second straight day.
The state is reporting 8.6 percent came back positive over the past day. Yesterday’s percentage was 9.9 percent. Sunday’s was 12-1/2 percent.
Governor Evers wants to see 14 days of declines in that percentage to start scaling back social distancing rules.
There are now 8,566 confirmed cases in Wisconsin. That’s up four percent from yesterday.
The state is reporting 353 confirmed deaths, and that’s 13 more than yesterday.
Brown County added 97 cases for a total of 1,545.
Winnebago has nine new cases, and 83 overall. Outagamie added four, for 77.
Two counties each added two cases. Oconto is now at 20, and Manitowoc 16. Calumet has one new case, and 20 overall.
The statewide hospitalization rate for confirmed cases is 19 percent.
Forty-eight percent of COVID-19 cases have recovered.
