Travis Denning claims the Number One spot on both the Country Aircheck and Billboard country charts this week with “After a Few.” This marks his first Number One hit. Travis co-wrote the tune, which tells the story of an old flame coming back into his life with the help of a few drinks.
He tells us: “I think this song really is just about that story that a lot of people can relate to – being attracted to someone that probably logically in your head is not real, but something in your heart keeps taking you back. I mean I know that’s a subject we talk about all the time, but we do it because it’s real.”
Travis celebrated with some friends on Saturday (June 6th) night. He shared a picture of the occasion yesterday (Sunday, June 7th) on social media writing, “Celebrated last night with the hometown boys. After A Few is the #1 song on country radio. So damn grateful. Love y’all.”
