An Appleton museum is being recognized by the Wisconsin Historical Society.
The Hearthstone Historic House received the 2020 Museum Exhibit Award for their temporary exhibit, “Kitty’s Wedding: You’re Invited-the 130th Anniversary of Kitty Rogers.” Director Tom Weiland says Kitty Rogers was the only daughter of Henry and Cremora Rogers, who build Hearthstone. He says they decorated the home to look as if a wedding was going to take place. Weiland says some of the artifacts belonged to the Rogers family.
