The investigation into a house explosion on the north side of Oshkosh is ongoing.
Fire department spokesman John Holland says state and local officials are trying to find the cause. He says the back side was blown off, and the house is considered a total loss.
He thinks it could’ve been worse, because the home was in the middle of a neighborhood, and it was the only one that was damaged.
The house is near Merrill Middle School, at the corner of W. Custer Avenue and Kentucky Street. The explosion happened around 5:30 p.m. yesterday.
Holland says a man was inside, and he was taken to a hospital. He doesn’t know the man’s condition.
