De Pere Police have a suspect in custody for an attack on the East River Trail earlier this month.
Officials say they have DNA evidence that ties the suspect to the crime. Jeff Linsmeyer has lived in the area for about 12 years. He thinks having a suspect in custody will give neighbors peace of mind.
A woman was walking with her four-month-old baby on October 5th when she was attacked. Her husband went looking for her when she didn’t return and found the infant laying in the grass unharmed. The woman was found about 40 to 50 yards from the baby.
