Starting Sunday, everyone everywhere will always have to use an area code when dialing a number.
Cellcom Marketing Manager Jodi Delahaut says that includes calling within your own area code.
She says the FCC is making the change for all carriers because they want to make it easier to contact the National Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Crisis Hotline. That shortcut number is 988.
She suggests everyone update their phone contact list.
