A former Oshkosh West High School student accused of stabbing a police resource officer wants his upcoming trial moved out of Winnebago County. The attorney for Grant Fuhrman claims media coverage of the trial would make it impossible to find an impartial jury in the area. Fuhrman is accused of stabbing Officer Mike Wissink with a BBQ fork in December of 2019. The motion for change of venue mentions how a number of media reports have portrayed Wissink as a hero. A previous motion to move the trial was denied in May. Fuhrman’s trial begins next month.
