A controversial Shawano County campground owner skips another court hearing. Ann Retzlaff was a no-show Tuesday on charges of Fleeing an Officer and Reckless Endangerment. The charges stem from a police chase in May–where Retzlaff claimed she is a “sovereign citizen” and therefore cannot be forced to comply with police orders. She was also an outspoken opponent of mask-requirements and has posted on social media that liberals are not welcome at her campground. Retzlaff reportedly told court officials she is afraid of contracting coronavirus by coming to court.
