Wisconsin deer hunters struggled this season. The D-N-R says a total of 175,667 whitetails were registered during the nine-day gun hunt last week. That is down seven-point-nine percent from the 2020 season. There were just more than 86-thousand antlered deer bagged–which is one-percent better than last year. The antlerless harvest was down by 13-percent. In the central farmland zone–which includes the Fox Valley–deer numbers were off by 14-percent.
