A Fond du Lac County woman is convicted in the death of her two-and-a-half month old baby girl. Shauntina Fuller-Pankey was found guilty of First Degree Reckless Homicide after entering an Alford plea. According to the crminal complaint, on June 25, 2018, Fond du Lac Police were dispatched to a home and found the infant whose breathing was shallow before stopping completely. The infant taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead. An autopsy determined the baby girl sustained a fractured skull. Investigators later found that Fuller-Pankey and the baby’s father had an argument and that she’d been smoking marijuana prior to the calls to police. The baby’s father also said Fuller-Pankey had been suffering from postpartum depression. She also claimed that she’d bumped the infants head against a door. That testimony was later refuted by an autopsy. Shauntina Fuller-Pankey faces up to 40-years in prison and 25-years of extended supervision when sentenced next year
