Cardi B and Cuban Doll exchanged words on Twitter this past weekend and it apparently started after Cuban posted a picture of herself wearing a leopard print outfit and said that Nicki Minaj had been her inspiration.
According to XXL, a fan account shared that Cuban posted a photo of Nicki Minaj on her Instagram Story, saying that an old Nicki look where the rapper is wearing a blonde wig with leopard print was Cuban's inspo.
Cardi B fans then brought up that Cardi wore leopard in her “WAP” video, suggesting that Cuban could've gotten inspiration from Cardi B.
Cardi responded to the posts after seeing a fan reply with an old video of Cardi showing love to Cuban.
In a now-deleted tweet, Cardi wrote, “Ask me why they hate me … THEY DON’T HAVE A REASON, JUST BANDWAGONING. It’s Cool tho, everyone that ever hated never succeeded.”
Cuban Doll sent her fair share of tweets to Cardi, which have also been deleted. In the messages, Cuban denies that she was inspired by Cardi. Meanwhile, Cardi fans dug up old Instagram Lives of Cuban listening to Cardi's music.
Cardi B also posted some screen shots of Cuban's deleted tweets, two of which said, “I pray a man don't marry me just to cheat on me … that's next level OD DISRESPECT,” and “I could never be inspired by someone who I don't listen to . Simple stop trying to force that on me.”
Along with the screenshots, Cardi included a caption that said, “You started this whole sh*t wit those two NOW DELETED tweets being shady about the inspiration and then my husband. Now that I respond I’m wrong?”
Cuban responded to Cardi, saying they haven't been on good terms since Offset allegedly tried to sleep with Cuban in 2018.
Cardi then posted a video from 2019 of Cuban telling a TMZ reporter that she doesn't know Offset and had never spoken to him at that time. Apparently, Cuban's friend, Summer Bunni, was the woman caught in the cheating scandal with Offset.
Cardi also shared DMs between herself and Cuban.
Cuban later claimed she was paid off to clear Offset's name in the cheating scandal, in which Summer Bunni claimed Offset wanted to have a threesome with her and Cuban Doll.
Cardi responded, questioning why Cuban Doll kept changing her story. Cardi eventually apologized to her fans for the back-and-forth.
