Attorneys for a Missouri man charged with the murders of two brothers from Shawano County are asking for the jury trial to be pushed back.
Twenty-seven-year-old Garland Nelson is charged with two counts of first degree murder for the 2019 killings of Nick and Justin Diemel of Bonduel. Nelson’s attorney asked for the continuance yesterday. The trial was expected to start in June. A hearing on the request is scheduled for next Monday.
The trial has been previously delayed. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Nelson.
