Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues to come close to home for a Green Bay man who immigrated to the U.S. Valentyn Tereshchenko is in contact with his parents, sister and other relatives. The last word he received from his parents they fled their home in Kharkiv to Bilobillya.
Tereshchenko says his parents and other relatives are safe…for now.
Tereshchenko reminds Americans although Ukraine was a territory of the former Soviet Union, it is a different country with a different language and culture.
