There’s been improvements to the state’s PACE program. PACE stands for Property Assessed Clean Energy.
Senator Rob Cowles from Green Bay co-authored the improvements in a bill signed into law by Governor Evers. Cowles says PACE allows a business owner to finance certain improvements like renewable energy.
According to Cowles several project in the Fox Valley have already benefited from the PACE. They include Cobblestone Hotel in Little Chute, The Railyard building and Hotel Northland in Green Bay and Appleton Industrial.
Cowles believes this will especially benefit older buildings. Through the end of 2021, PACE Wisconsin financed more than $100 million in projects across the 47 participating counties.
