A plea hearing will be held next week for a man accused of killing his two children in Kaukauna.
This means Matthew Beyer and prosecutors have reached an agreement that would avoid a jury trial. That trial was suppose to begin in September. Beyer is charged in Outagamie County with two counts of first degree intentional homicide for deaths of five-year-old William Beyer and three-year-old Danielle Beyer. Court records show the children were stabbed in the neck. William also had shallow cuts to his hands, which prosecutions say indicate the boy put up a fight.
A witness told police Beyer didn’t believe he was their father and was upset about having to pay child support when the mother wouldn’t let him see the children.
