Green Bay Area School Public District Superintendent Steve Murley has retired to deal with health concerns. The Green Bay Board of Education last night granted Murley’s request to retire immediately. School Board President Eric Vanden Heuvel says the suddenness of Murley’s request was surprising, though he’d spoken previously about the state of his health.
Steve Murley served Superintendent of the Green Bay Public School District since July 2020. Deputy Superintendent Vicki Bayer will serve as Interim Superintendent of Schools and Learning.
