Two people are arrested after a weekend chase in Manitowoc County that injured a canine and deputy. On Saturday, deputies attempted to stop a stolen vehicle on Highway 10 in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids. The driver, Juan Flores of Neenah, reportedly took off, traveling at speeds in excess of 100 MPH. Flores entered Reedsville and the vehicle turned onto Industrial Park Drive–a dead-end road. Flores then rammed squad cars, causing damage and airbags to go off. He ran off before being arrested.
His passenger, Jessica Loney of Manitowoc County, then got into the driver’s seat and pushed two squads out of the way. She nearly hit two deputies and pinched K-9 Leon between two vehicles. A deputy and the dog were treated for minor injuries. The chase finally ended when deputies spun out Loney’s car and took her into custody. Both suspects are facing a litany of criminal charges.
The chases lasted 14 minutes and covered 15 miles.
