SUAMICO, Wis. — A 9-year-old girl dies after being hit by an S-U-V driven by her mother in Suamico.
It happened around 7:40 this morning on Harbor Winds Drive at Bay Mist Court. Investigators believe the girl was running alongside the vehicle before falling and being struck by the vehicle.
The child died at the scene.
Sheriff’s officials say the driver is fully cooperating and neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be factors in the crash.
