APPLETON, Wis–A large amount of fentanyl never makes it to the streets of Fox Valley communities. The Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group and Drug Enforcement Administration announce the seizure of 54,000 pills, or about 12-pounds of fentanyl this week.
That’s the largest fentanyl seizure in the drug unit’s history. The drugs have an estimated street value of $500,000 dollars.
The seizure came during a raid this week at a home in Appleton. Two people are arrested and a firearm is confiscated. The suspects are not being identified as the investigation continues.
