Today is National Dentist Day. Here are a few things you should avoid saying to your dentist.
- “I didn’t brush my teeth at all since my last visit.”
- “I know I have a cavity, but I’m just going to wait until it hurts.”
- “I’m terrified of dentists.”
- “I can’t afford to pay for any additional treatments or procedures.”
- “I’ve been using an alternative method to treat my dental issues, so I don’t need your advice.”
- “I hate coming to the dentist, but my spouse/parent/employer is making me do it.”
- “Can you just give me a discount since I don’t have dental insurance?”
- “I don’t believe in getting x-rays or other diagnostic tests.”
- “I don’t want any pain medication or anesthesia during my procedure.”
- “I’m not going to floss, no matter what you say.”
