FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Authorities are investigating an alleged large-scale deer poaching scheme.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says it was tipped off about the operation last month.
It is believed to cover about 200 square miles over Fond du Lac, Dodge and Washington counties, and believed to have been going on over the last 12 months.
Investigators are looking for specific information such as gunshots heard during overnight hours, shots being fired from a vehicle and dead deer carcasses with bullet wounds.
Anyone with info should contact the DNR conservation warden in Fond du Lac or Washington County.
