FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A Fond du Lac man accused of stabbing a woman reaches a plea deal with prosecutors.
Fermin Lopez-Mendoza is convicted in Fond du Lac County Court on one count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
Lopez-Mendoza allegedly stabbed the woman in the stomach back in March. He faces up to 65 years in prison when sentenced on March 18.
The Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office says that Lopez-Mendoza is in the country illegally and would face deportation.
