OMRO, WI — An Omro alderman faces a charge of distribution of child pornography in federal court. Jason Reeves made an initial appearance Friday in federal court in Green Bay. According to a criminal complaint, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office was tipped off to Reeves by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The complaint says Reeves allegedly sent a video of a nude girl between the ages of seven and ten years old to another person via a dark web browser. Law enforcement officers confiscated numerous electronic devices from Reeves’ home. He’s back in court Wednesday for a detention hearing. Reeves faces between five and 20 years in prison if convicted.
