JUNEAU, Wis. — The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office reports significant damage as a result of severe weather Thursday evening.
According to the National Weather Service, a tornado was confirmed over Mayville around 6 p.m.
While it has not been confirmed, a possible tornado was also spotted in the Juneau area.
Reported damage in those cities includes downed trees and power lines, along with various damage to homes.
Sheriff Dale Schmidt says there were only minor injuries……..
The sheriff’s office is asking non-residents of Juneau and Mayville to avoid those cities while crews clean up damage and work to restore power.
Temporary shelters have been established for displaced residents.
