TOWN OF BRILLION, Wis. — A Calumet County sheriff’s deputy is hurt in a crash involving an alleged impaired driver.
The deputy was conducting a traffic stop along State Highway 57 in the town of Brillion around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday when his patrol vehicle was rear-ended by another car.
The driver showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody.
The deputy suffered minor injuries and will return to duty after a brief recovery period.
