FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A Fond du Lac woman is seriously injured after being attacked with a knife.
Police were called to an apartment complex along Forest Avenue around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday to find a 39-year-old woman with serious cuts on both hands as well as injuries to her chest, back and legs. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Officers ordered neighbors to shelter in place, as it was believed the suspect, a 43-year-old Fond du Lac man, was inside one of the apartments. He was not there and was later taken into custody during a traffic stop in Dodge County.
The incident remains under investigation.
