First of all, how in the hell are we STILL discovering new species of things? I feel like the world today is like the Truman Show when the teacher tells Truman there’s nothing left to explore because we found it all.
But here we are, discovering new things in 2025. To follow up, how is it that there are still new species to discover? How have we never discovered something that is so big? Like, it’s so big it’s actually now the heaviest insect in all of Australia (of course it’s in Australia)! This thing is insane! And terrifying!
The best guess as to why we’re just not discovering it is because it lives in a super remote location in Australia, and also in the canopy of really tall trees. So even if you managed to get into the area, the odds of you seeing one would be extremely rare.
The more you know!
