APPLETON, Wis. — One person is hurt in an Appleton house fire.
Crews were called to the home in the 1900 block of N. Division Street around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to find smoke coming from the building.
Firefighters helped a resident escape from the second floor. That person was treated for smoke inhalation.
Two cats were also rescued.
Damage is estimated at $50,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
