UPDATE: An Oshkosh man is in custody following an alleged weapons incident and standoff.
Police say the 44-year-old fired a shot at the front door of a residence in the 100 block of N. Eagle Street Wednesday afternoon, then drove to his home in the 1200 block of Armory Place.
Neighbors were encouraged to shelter in place while officers tried to negotiate with the man.
After several hours, officers deployed chemical munitions into the home. The man came out and surrendered without incident.
No injuries were reported.
Criminal charges are pending.

OSHKOSH, Wis–Oshkosh Police are on the scene of an active incident on the south side of the city. There is a large law enforcement presence in the 1200 block of Armory Place.
Residents in that area are encouraged to shelter in place. All other should stay away from that area.
