(BERLIN, WI) — A Fond du Lac County man is jailed in connection with an attack and an attempted kidnapping Monday afternoon.
A woman was pushing her one-year-old child in a stroller on the Mascoutin Valley Trail when the man grabbed her around the neck and put a white cloth over her mouth. She was able to fight the man off and run to a nearby home with her child to call 911.
The woman’s description of the suspect along with help from witnesses and security cameras led to a Rosendale home. Authorities executed a search warrant and took the man into custody.
He’s in the Fond du Lac County Jail facing possible charges of attempt kidnapping, false imprisonment and battery.
