UPDATE 4:55 p.m. — A dump truck driver is killed in a crash along State Highway 441 in Appleton. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed through the noise barrier along the southbound lanes and nearly into yards along E. Park Hills Drive around 12:25 p.m. Tuesday.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash closed Highway 441 between Calumet Street and County Highway KK until around 2:20 p.m.

UPDATE 1:50 p.m. — The left lane of southbound 441 has reopened to traffic.

APPLETON, Wis. — A portion of southbound State Highway 441 is closed south of Calumet Street to traffic due to a crash involving a dump truck. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed through the noise barrier and into yards along E. Park Hills Drive around 12:25 p.m. Tuesday.
There is no word on any injuries. The State Patrol is not sure how long southbound 441 will be closed. Traffic is being detoured off the highway at Calumet Street.
