Wisconsin’s Republican U.S. Senator believes communities can prevent peaceful protests from turning into violent riots by having an overwhelming number of police and troops.
Sen. Ron Johnson of Oshkosh was on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday. The network’s Dana Bash pressed him on the shooting deaths of two protesters last Tuesday. He called it “a tragedy,” and later condemned all violence and damage in Kenosha.
