Violent crime up 20% this year in Oshkosh

Violent crime is up 20-percent in Oshkosh this year. Chief Dean Smith says that is why they are increasing patrols in areas that have seen the biggest spike in incidents–which has been met with some backlash.  Those increased patrols include more officers in the downtown area at night–with foot patrols through the Main Street bars.
