Cat shot in the face in Winnebago County

The Oshkosh Humane Society is worried someone in rural Winnebago County is intentionally shooting cats. An orange tabby named “Richie Cunningham” was brought in last week with a gunshot wound to the jaw. Emergency surgery fit the feline with a new prosthetic. Medical Director Tawana Hanamann says this is eerily similar to another case a year ago when another cat–named Bernard–was found shot in the face near Nepeusken.  Richie is in a foster home and is making a strong recovery. He will go up for adoption when he is once again healthy.
