Green Bay Police: Don’t just drop off items for the homeless

Green Bay Police are asking people not to give donations of food and other items directly to the homeless. On their Facebook page, the department has posted pictures of meals, blankets, and clothes that were left for people in Saint John’s Park–but that spoiled or became soaked by rain–and then were left strewn on the ground. Green Bay Police ask those wanting to help the homeless to instead donate to the Saint John’s Homeless Shelter.
