Public Market planned for the Broadway District in Green Bay

There’s a public market in Green Bay’s future. On Broadway, Incorporated unveiled the $10-12 million improvement project this (Wednesday) morning. The project is inspired by The Public Market in Milwaukee and will be food focused. It will be located at the site currently occupied by Old Fort Square. Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich expects the market project to attract visitors beyond Green Bay and Brown County.  Part two of the project includes a $21-million, 92-unit townhouse development behind the public market site on what’s now a city-owned parking lot.
