An Oshkosh woman that tried to hire a hitman to kill an informant reaches a plea deal with prosecutors.
Melissa Smith is convicted in Winnebago County Court on one count of Solicitation of First Degree Intentional Homicide. Smith contacted a police informant last year wanting to have an ex-boyfriend killed because he had told police about her drug dealing activities.
She faces life in prison when sentenced on on April 14th.
