More than 5,000 correctional officers and other state security workers will get a raise.
Governor Evers made the announcement today. According to the Governor, correctional officers, sergeants, psychiatric care technicians, youth counselors and related supervisors will get a $3.00 an hour raise starting Sunday, March 13.
The raise is in response to high vacancy rates at Wisconsin Department of Corrections and Wisconsin Department of Health Services institutions.
