The owners and employees of a Green Bay contractor accused of defrauding customers will not get a speedy trial. A federal judge rules the cases against Chad and Gina Schampers, Nathaniel Smith and Jeffrey O’Brien are complex in nature and prosecutors are entitled to more time to prepare their cases. The Schampers, Smith, and O’Brien operated Summit Contracting–which allegedly took payments from customers but never completed roofing projects. They had been scheduled to stand trial on April 14th–but that has been removed from the court’s calendar.
