A federal judge dismisses a lawsuit seeking information on COVID-19 from Senator Ron Johnson. Oshkosh resident Tom Hallstrom sued Johnson in Green Bay Federal Court demanding the sources of the Senator’s comments on treatments for coronavirus. Hallstrom initially filed a Freedom of Information request–and then sued after being provided with newspaper articles and TV news clips. Johnson argued that Senators are exempt from the FOIA law–and that a federal court does not have jurisdiction. The judge agreed and threw out the case.
