GRAND CHUTE, Wis. — A 30-year-old Fox Valley woman is jailed after a hit-and-run accident on Interstate 41 Saturday.
The Grand Chute Police Department was notified of a crash on I-41 near Lynndale Avenue just before 6 p.m. That closed all northbound lanes for nearly 1 1/2 hours.
Witnesses told police a car driven by the woman struck two vehicles before coming to a stop. They saw the driver of the vehicle take off on foot just after the crash and jump a fence.
Grand Chute Police later responded to a call of a stranger entering a residence in the 3900 block of Fox Glove Lane. That person was identified as the driver of the abandoned vehicle.
Burglary, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Prescription Drugs without a Valid Prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Felony Bail Jumping and a Probation Hold. She’s also ticketed for hit and run and operating after revocation.
