GREEN BAY, Wis–An August 24th trial date is set for a Green Bay bus driver accused of drinking while transporting kids on a field trip. James Nelson charged in Brown County Court with one misdemeanor count of Operating While Intoxicated With a Minor Passenger–First Offense.
Nelson has admitted to drinking beer on his bus while kids Green Bay Lincoln Elementary School were on a field trip to Madison on April 18th. A teacher reported that a student found an open can of beer rolling on the floor.
Nelson would face up to six months in jail if convicted.
