FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Fond du Lac has a new fire chief.
Assistant chief of operations Erick Gerritson was the lone candidate interviewed a second time.

The Police and Fire Commission made its formal recommendation to promote Gerritson on Tuesday.
Former Fond du Lac Fire Chief Peter O’Leary retired back in April.
