APPLETON, Wis–A man accused of firing shots from the roof of an Appleton church is heading to trial. James Cooper waives his right to a preliminary hearing in Outagamie County Court on charges of Reckless Endangerment, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Discharging a Firearm in a School Zone.
Cooper accessed the roof of Saint Bernadette Church on May 19th and fired a handgun twice. No one was hurt. Cooper will enter a plea to the charges on Wednesday.
