Kaukauna officials are confident that work will begin soon on a new apartment downtown complex. A 101-unit structure is planned for Lawe Street–along with a new hotel on the site. Kaukauna has committed one-point-six million dollars in tax incremental financing and other loans to the apartment project. Meanwhile, the developers of the adjacent hotel are still working on their finance plan–but Penterman remains optimistic work on that phase will begin soon as well.
